What motivated you to become an Ayurveda expert?
My endeavor into the field of Ayurveda and natural wellness healing is more of the play of chance as well as destiny. Although, being an Indian, these natural healing modalities and experiences exist in our basic roots. Yet, while pursuing education in Ayurveda healing, I could all the more relate with the need to bring about undemanding awareness and acceptance among masses, both in India and abroad, of these natural healing modalities. All these factors helped me to choose this field of Ayurveda healthcare as healer as well as author and speaker.
How did you commence your journey into this industry?
Being an Ayurveda doctor and holistic healing expert, I could easily find my way in this industry imbibing the authentic approach and innate faith in Ayurveda healing and preventive healthcare.
What were the initial challenges you faced in the beginning?
The initial challenges in Ayurveda healing that I have faced is while I practiced as Ayurveda doctor, I found difficulty in trying to educate patients and clients about the merits and safety in taking to Ayurvedic medicines, treatments and therapies, as the healthcare science was encompassed by number of fallacies and misconceptions.
What helped you overcome these challenges?
I could considerably overcome these challenges as I ventured into freelance writing in many prominent newspapers and magazines like Hindustan Times, The Indian Express, Dainik Bhaskar, Complete Well being, Consumer India et al. Also, steadily I began to receive invites as speaker in many reputed organizations like Dabur, Himalaya, The Chartered Accountants, Arya Samaj among others. Thus, reaching out to masses helped me considerably not only to debunk myths and misconceptions, but also I could carve a niche in the hearts for accepting and rejoicing in Ayurveda wellness.
What were the main milestones along your journey?
The milestones in my journey have come up in the form of the five books that I have authored till date viz. Herbal Healers, Home Remedies, Healing through Ayurveda, Healing through Ayurveda herbs in your kitchen Garden and Healthy living through Dosha Healing (Ayurveda).Also, writing for many esteemed newspapers and magazines, offline and online publications and websites, emerging prominent blogger and social medial expert has been further authentic credential. This all has been all along with taking up speaking assignments, organizing holistic healing workshops encompassing Ayurveda, Yoga as well as Spiritual healing.
I have been invited for presenting talks as a speaker at many imminent and reputed organizations viz. Fortis Hospital, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Himalaya Drug Co, Dabur, AryaSamajetc among others. I am also closely involved with Indus Valley Ayurvedic Centre, Mysore as Senior Consultant Vaidya and Communications Officer.
My experience of working in India makes me all the more amalgamated with the roots of Vedic wisdom of the East. India being the land of holistic healing wellness has great potential in offering and also delivering the best of restorative and wellness potential which is essentially the best in Preventive healthcare and holistic healing prospective. I can see infinite prospects in providing a world of wellness that our ancient Indian Vedic wisdom has in store for saving the humanity and as well healing on all fronts of mind, body and spirit.
How would you describe your experience working in Ayurveda field as compared with modern treatments and therapies?
I find my experience to be essentially distinct and enduring, as it unites me with preventive healthcare wisdom and holistic healing while understanding its elaborate need to heal the world.
Ayurveda has core potential in providing well-being and healthcare which encompasses all parameters of beauty, wellness and intrinsic contentment and wellness of mind, body and spirit. The ancient texts of Ayurvedic Medicine have abundant information on beautifying treatments and techniques for the whole body. Also Ayurveda helps to greatly understand how one can work on improving the quality of the skin from the inside as well as outside using the assistance of a healthy diet, correct lifestyle, balanced doshas, Ayurveda beauty treatments and Ayurveda detoxification and rejuvenation therapies.
What thrills you about the beauty industry and keeps you going?
When I see that how the beauty industry has sturdily and eternally incorporated Natural healing modalities using natural herbs, home remedies and Ayurveda therapies to relax and rejuvenate focusing on not only the external beauty, but also working towards enhancing the internal charisma and splendor. This gives me the reason both to rejoice as well as keeps me going.
How long have you been in this industry?
It is since 25 years that I have been actively associated with the world of Ayurveda and Natural lifestyle, Wellness, Beauty and Preventive healthcare.
What are your dreams and aspirations?
I dream of seeing the world a healthy and happy place for one and all, and as Ayurveda healing focuses on preventive health, I do aspire in being instrument in creating awareness and appreciative consideration in the eyes of the lay man to be able to understand and gain from our Vedic wisdom of healthy living.
