This week on our Dossier column we have, Mr.Anuj Kacker- Executive Director of Aptech ltd.

What has been your experience with the Industry so far?
AK: The industry is rapidly growing and it needs quality skilled manpower. There is quantity over quality and the skills pool available is substandard. There is also a huge demand and supply gap that needs to be filled. Being a skills based profession the student community requires right platform for training to get started in their career. The response has been encouraging at various academies and students have been opting for multiple courses so that they get industry ready in the shortest possible time.
What are the new concepts in education at Lakme academy?
AK: Our content is in line with latest trends and services prevailing in market, for example we teach high definition and Airbrush in our Makeup courses. We aim to stay relevant with changing industry requirements and ensure our students leave with the most updated skills.
Has Lakme introduced any International Certifications/Courses?
AK: We are on verge of introducing the International certification, very soon the same would be offered in all our centers.
Do you offer placements and any other facility to the students?
AK: Yes, we offer placement assistance to students. The top performing students will be offered placements through the Lakmé Salon Network based on fulfillment of certain requirement norms.
What has been your strategy to enroll more and more students?
AK: As a training and education company we understand our audience very well. Today being the digital age, we invest in online marketing and at the same time complement it with various ATL and BTL activities on the ground to ensure a complete understanding of the course. Having ‘hands on approach’ with an evolving curriculum in tune with changing job profiles, it helps students catch up to missing skills by enrolling in our courses.
AK: Lakmé Academy Powered by Aptech plans to open up 100 training academies by 2018. As of now, we are 25 plus academies and continue to grow.
