The Magic of Plasma Rx treatmentIMAGE 1

The magic that Plasma Rx treatment can do for you is is like a photographic portrait or digital image is retouched and color-balanced making it high quality. It creates the same magic on your skin, just as a damaged painting is delicately restored one area at a time, or a photographic image is altered, pixel by pixel. Plasma Rx creates the same effect on your face, making you literally look like new.

Technology behind Plasma Rx technique

Plasma Rx is fractionated resurfacing which uses proprietary Micro Plasma Technology in combination with Continuous Motion refractive radio-frequency. The Plasma Rx both ablates and heats the skin through all the skin layers through a controlled, focused delivery of energy, resulting in simultaneous renewal and rejuvenation.

For deeper scars, this is superior to all other technologies like dermal rollers or microneedling, which are generally more superficial. It is also much better than older and more traditional laser resurfacing technologies such as CO2 Resurfacing because it doesn’t touch the skin’s pigment, resulting in a much lower risk of marks afterwards. Now, why is this? The Plasma Rx Micro Plasma Technology does not use light to achieve its results. It uses Plasma, or the fourth state of energy that is completely pigment neutral. The Plasma Rx results in evaporation, mechanical damage and thermal damage of already damaged skin deep beneath the epidermis-dermis surface where the source of most skin issues lie. It then creates thousands of controlled microperforations similar to the pattern created by various fractionated skin resurfacing lasers. During the procedure, because its simply tiny portions that are being affected, just a small portion of the tissue is ablated. The remaining healthy tissue speeds up the body’s natural healing process that leads to the elimination of irregular epidermal pigment, tightening of dermal collagen and the smoothing that results from the stimulation of the skin’s deeper layers, thus giving you the fresh, smooth and radiant skin. Patients experience lesser discomfort and a shorter down-time than other technologies which makes it exceptionally superior.

Science behind Plasma Rx

Nitrogen is a colorless, odorless gaseous element that is part of all living tissues and makes up 80% of the atmosphere. When introduced to ultra-high frequency energy, the nitrogen is converted into a highly energized state, or plasma.

What is plasma?

Plasma is ionized gas with an added energy. Compared to gas, it has a much higher energy level. Plasma Rx adds energy to nitrogen gas, which creates nitrogen plasma used for treatment. This natural energy is specifically focused onto skin, thereby forcing dead and damaged skin to slough off while new skin is forced to rejuvenate. It is the ultimate way of using nature to help your skin heal itself!

Treatment for Stretch Marks

So why do people get stretch marks and what are they? Stretch marks or striae are tears in the dermis (middle layer of the skin) causing loss and damage of collagen and elastin (building blocks of the skin), blood vessels and pigment producing cells in the area affected. Stretch marks can be red to purple in color. They are triggered by various factors like genetics, weight, hormonal changes, with dry skin being prone to stretch marks. About 90% of pregnant women get stretch marks in the last months of pregnancy on their lower abdomen. They can also affect 70% of young females, 40% of young males, teenagers during growth spurts, individuals that gain rapid or excessive weight, bodybuilders, weightlifters and individuals taking steroids. Stretch marks are generally present breasts, arms, thighs, hips, tummy and buttocks. Unique Plasma Rx technology can help in 60-80% reduction of stretch marks in persons of any age, gender and skin color in 4-6 sessions caused by any reason. It is truly miraculous for this difficult condition!

Duration of treatment

Plasma Rx treatment takes about 30 minutes, depending on the size of the area(s) being treated. For optimal results, a series of 4 to 6 treatments, 2 to 4 weeks apart is most effective. The time between treatments depends upon healing process of individuality and depth of the treatment. The results are both immediate and progressive, with noticeable, beneficial effects accumulating over 1 to 3 months. Collagen regeneration will continue for up to 6 months.

After effects of treatment

As the Plasma Rx treatment does not remove the outer skin layer, patients can resume routine activities right after treatment. During the first few days after treatment the uppermost layer of skin will shed, and patients may experience redness, heat/sunburn sensation and minimal swelling which soon resolves in a matter of hours on the same day. The skin will have a pinkish tone for 2 to 3 days. The patient will have to keep an ointment for your skin for the first couple of days after the treatment, to facilitate healing.   As new skin replaces damaged tissue, skin may look and feel a little dry indicating that healing is underway.

Safety of the treatment

This treatment is FDA-cleared for the treatment of acne scars and wrinkles and does not have any long term side effects.

No downtime

Skin resurfacing with Plasma Rx is the most effective therapeutic approach, which shows attractive results with pretty minimal downtime. Patients can go to work, apply makeup and follow their normal routine immediately after treatment.
